Background Early childhood intervention (ECI) centres in Spain recently initiated a process of change towards the adoption of family-centred practices (FCPs). Knowledge about the extent to which practitioners' use FCPs is needed. The psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the FCPs scale were examined. Method A convenience sample of 105 families of children with developmental delays attending three different ECI centres in Spain completed the FCPs scale and provided information about the ECI centre characteristics and practices, caregiver self-efficacy beliefs, and family and child demographic information. Tutkimus tähtää löytämään erilaisia kaksikielisiä opetusmetodeja ja korostamanaan niitä metodeja, jotka opettajat kuvaavat hyvin toimiviksi. Tarkoituksena on myös tarkastella tekijöitä, joita opettajat ottavat huomioon valitessaan kaksikielisen opetusmetodin. Tätä tukimusta voidaan kutsua tapaustutkimukseksi. Se toteutettiin haastatellen neljää opettajaa, jotka työskentelevät Family Centre Klubíčkossa Kroměříž:ssa, Tsekissä. Opettajat haastateltiin pareina teemahaastattelun periaatteita noudattaen. An insecure attachment history puts foster children at risk for many kinds of difficulties, which may include psychopathology. Nurture and Play (NaP) for foster families–intervention for children aged one to five years of age aims to help the new attachment relationship between foster parents and their young children develop in a secure direction. The aim of this study is to gain deeper understanding on how foster parents use their mentalization skills to reflect the different meanings of the NaP for foster families–intervention.
